Description
There are a couple of other shelf cloud images posted here already, but they were from a previous storm in a previous year, plus they were taken at a much greater distance from the storm.
This one was taken as it moved over the Lexington area. At one point, one of the rain shafts completely blocked out the view of the tallest buildings downtown.
I captured this just moments before deciding to get the drone out of the air before the wind picked up.
